Monday November 17th 2003 10.30 20.00 Welcome! ______ är en första offentlig presentation av en konstnärlig forskningsidé Los Angeles Islands. Projektet har för avsikt att undersöka och problematisera amerikanska arkitekturinfluenser i Malmöregionen. Hur visar sig en uppsättning utopier och dystopier - Los Angeles Islands - i en expansiv svensk region? I projektet kommer Malmö att fungera som ett försöksområde där olika influenser från Los Angeles avläses eller undersöks i bilder, modeller eller konkret arkitektur. Efter en inledande presentation på LTH, genomförs detta seminarium i form av en busstur. Turen avslutas med filmvisning och bar i Malmö. ______ Los Angeles Islands Malmö is the first public presentation of an art research proposal Los Angeles Islands. The aim of the project is to investigate and problematize American architectural influences in the Malmö region. How are some selected utopias and dystopias - Los Angeles Islands - displayed in an expansive Swedish region? In this project, the city of Malmö will be used as a test bed, where influences from Los Angeles are examined in images, models or performed architectural projects. After the presentation of the project at LTH in Lund, the seminar will be performed as a bus tour through Malmö.
